Frantic Amber needed to cancel the gig at WestBay Heaven & Hell because of special circustances. Now drums for 7 songs are recorded, 3 more songs to come next weekend!

Studio time and gigs coming up

After some time working on songs in the rehearsal room, Frantic Amber is finally starting to record the album. On friday Erik will start to record the drums at Underground Studio in Västerås with Pelle Saether as producer.

We also soon hit the stage again on the festival Westbay Heaven & Hell 25/5 and Wacken Metal Battle Final 1/6 at Pub Anchor as a as headline band since we won last year. We can’t wait to get back on stage!

New release “Ghost” on doomsday 21/12-2012

Frantic Amber announces a crowd-funding campaign for debut album

The band is in pre-production of their debut album and is turning to the idea of crowd-funding at SellABand.com to help fund the project. All the time spent on songwriting and looking for the right sound in between all the gigs have led to that we feel that it’s time for the band to make our first full-length album.

Mary: “Until today we have managed ourselves to promote our music and economically to record it. But to release a full length album with all that it implies is simply over our heads. Now we ask for help to take the next step.

The Fan Funding program at SellABand has all possible steps, big and small with rewards for each step, so everyone who wants to support us can do it.”

There will be a mix of brutality, groove and melody. Classic metal meets modern metal, simply an album where rage comes with beautiful harmonies. It is the core and essence that Frantic Amber is all about. The appeal to their fans has a target of 10,000 euro and has yet no deadline.

It was amazing for us to see a filled tent on our show – especially when everybody had their hands in the air! We saw some people holding our posters in the front line and som guys held a Swedish flag up high for the Metal Battle contest! We didn’t win the contest but this sure was a dream come true for us!” Thank you all!!

Stage time and change of stage at Wacken

Now we finally got our stage time at Wacken – Wednesday 1/8 at 22:20 Headbanger Stage. From this year on there will be a new, much bigger Bullhead City Tent – BULLHEAD CITY CIRCUS! It’s going to be one of the biggest mobile tents worldwide with a size of 110 meters length and 60 meters. This titan of a tent will from now on be from the new home of the newly established Headbanger´s Stage as well as our well known W.E.T. Stage. Both stages are standing side by side (each stage 10×7 m) – only separated by a wrestling ring in the center – and will be played alternate. So there will be no intersections between these 2 stages.

Because of the alteration we will be playing on the Headbangers Stage instead of the earlier announced Wet Stage. Full running order on Wacken can be seen here. Vladimir Chebakov har made our poster for this awesome show and that can be seen below.

Last week we were one of the six choosen bands/artists that got a video made by Music Video Lab – a workshop for aspiring video makers and upcoming bands. The Frantic Amber team was Max Thedeby (camera man) and Kristina Edler (editor) and the band of course. We worked our asses of the whole week and the result is amazing. We can’t wait to show you our new music video but we will put it up as soon as soon as we have the final mix of it done!
