How did you get in Frantic Amber?
I found Marys add on bandfinder and contacted her so it all went on from there!

Some curiosities about you?
I moved away from home at age 16 to dance in Germany and originally came to Stockholm to complete my training and education as a ballet dancer at The Royal Swedish Ballet School. After I graduated in 2010 I decided to stay in Frantic Amber and to persue music as a career.

What role do you have in the band?
I’m the vocalist and lyric writer.

What eqiutment do you use?
Shure Beta 58a wireless mic
TC Electronics reverb pedal

What is your musical influences?
Various artists and music genres. Some examples are: Eths, Satyricon, Dimmu Borgir, Dark Tranquility, Dååth etc.

Personal motto?

Mary Säfstrand

Mary

Where are you from?
Stockholm/Sweden.

How did you get in Frantic Amber?
I founded Frantic Amber. First time 2008 as a project with different members and another sound then today, second time 2010 as it is today a real metal band and with the same core lineup we have today.

Some curiosities about you?
Besides music I love math. Before the music took over hand I went 1,5 year at The Royal Institute of Technology and read mostly math and physics.

What role do you have in the band?
Guitarist, band leader and manager of the band. Writes parts of songs.

What equitment do you use?
Custom Grosmann guitar Xanty, Mesa Boogie Dual Recifier amp, Boss pedals för gain, noise gate and tuner.

What is your musical influences?
Testament, Hypocrisy, Nevermore, Judas Priest, Metallica, Killswitch Engage, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Kiss.

Personal motto?

Mio

Where are you from?
From Stockholm. Originally from Japan, my family moved to Sweden when I was 4 years old.

How did you get in Frantic Amber?
Through an ad on the internet. Band looking for members.

Some curiosities about you?
I like to drive motorcycles and do martial arts. I also like Sfi-fi/Fantasy movies and books.

What role do you have in the band?
I play the leadguitar. I also write much of the music material in Frantic Amber.

What equitment do you use?
Schecter Hellraiser, Engl Powerball, BOSS pedals

What is your musical influences?
All kind of musicgenre: Funk/Soul/Disco/Classical/Musical/Fusion/Jazz/Hardrock/ and all kind of Metal.

Madeleine Gullberg Husberg

Where are you from?
I’m from Stockholm, Sweden.

What have you done before Frantic Amber?
I have played in a heavy metal band called DWARF since 2013 and I’m still playing in it alongside Frantic Amber.

How did you get in Frantic Amber?
I met Mary at a party with a friend we have in common. Later on Mary, Mio and Elizabeth came and watched a gig with my band and asked me if I was interested in playing with them.

How does it feel to now be a part of Frantic Amber?
It feels great! I’m looking forward to play a different kind of metal other than that I’m used to play and to evolve as a bass player.

Some curiosities about you?
I enjoy photographing, mostly concerts and bands but all kinds of stuff and just documenting in every day life. I also enjoy playing computer games.

What role do you have in the band?
I’m the bass player and I also think that with my interest for photography I’m going to run around with a camera in my hands when I’m not playing and therefore can document what ever Frantic Amber is up to.

What equipment do you use?
Bass guitar: Ibanez SR700

How do you think you will influence the band?
I hope to contribute to the songwriting and add some of my influences to the music. And also to add to a dynamic play style in Frantic Amber since I play the bass with my fingers.

What is your musical influences?
Bass players that has influenced me the most is Steve Harris and Cliff Burton. When I was 13 years old I watched a video of Cliff Burton performing (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth and it was then I knew that I wanted to play bass.

One song that makes you happy and one that makes you angry/energetic
It’s hard to only mention one song but “Power and the Glory” by Saxon and “Phantom of the Opera” by Iron Maiden is songs that always makes me happy.

One movie that makes you happy and one that makes you angry/energetic
The Neverending Story is a childhood favorite that I can watch over and over again and the same goes with The Lord of the Rings.

Where are you from?
I was born in Medellin, Colombia, raised in Falun, Sweden and has lived in Stockholm for about 15 years.

What have you done before Frantic Amber?
I’ve played in lots and lots of band over the years. Insision, Remasculate, Pandemonic and Flagellation to name a few.

How did you get in Frantic Amber?
I was asked to join Frantic Amber after the departure of their previous drummer. Me and Mary had known each other for a long time and Insision already shared rehearsal with the band, so it wasn´t a tough decision.

How does it feel to now be a part of Frantic Amber?
Great! It feels like a natural fit and there´s a great connection within the band so I have high hopes for the future!

Some curiosities about you?
I love learning, no matter if it´s about science, history, wildlife or cooking.

What role do you have in the band?
I´m the pacekeeper so far. Time will tell what role I will have in the future.

Who´s your favourite drummer?
I admire many of the greats, like Buddy Rich, Terry Bozzio, Tony Williams, John Bonham etc etc, but I regard Ed Warby, Sean Reinert and Gene Hoglan as my biggest influences in metal drumming.

How do you think you will influence the band?
I hope my experience aswell as ability to play guitar and bass will be a benefit. Musically perhaps I´m a dark and complex influence. I´m curious on what will come out of the songwriting process in the future.

What is you musical influences?
I enjoy craftmanship in musicians no matter what genre, so I´m influenced by alot! To me music is a language, and I strive for a great vocabulary.

One song that makes you happy and one that makes you angry/energetic
Good music always makes me happy! Horrible songs being played over and over on the radio gets me angry.

One movie that makes you happy and one that makes you angry/energetic
I’m a real moviebuff, so It´s difficult to just pick one, Forrest Gump is a happy one.

Personal motto?
It’s better to burn out than to fade away!
